In today’s world, it’s an absolute must to make your blog mobile friendly.

And if you’re using WordPress, it’s even easier. If you have your own personal blog, no doubt you’ve seen plugins that will convert your blog to a mobile version, but that’s probably not the best way to go.

First, plugins aren’t always updated with newer versions of WordPress. You don’t want to get stuck with an outdated version of your CMS and have things break when you upgrade. Rather, I would suggest reskinning your WordPress blog with a mobile-responsive theme. The beauty of WordPress it your content (blog posts and images) all live in the database. Your menus, linking structure, etc. will all be preserved when you drop in another theme. Yes, it’ll take a little time to update various widgets, but they are all there – ready to go.
